Ok well, we bought these long green beans last night to make a dish today, but my mom took them out of the fridge and set them out because she thinks the veggie drawer will keep them moist and cause them to mold, so setting them out all night will keep them dry and not mold. (she was wrong!!)

The very next morning, I looked closely and noticed little mold spots growing all over them. I thought 'too bad, we'll have to throw them out', so I called my mother and told her, but she said 'no! They are really expensive beans', all I must do is remove the mold.

SOO... I just rinsed the beans and cut off the moldy parts and cooked the dish. The food is fantastic and smells great, but I am afraid to eat it! I did give it a little taste, though.

Is it life-threatening to eat these moldy green beans?

The beans must have been old or moldy to begin with. One night should not have affected the beans. the rule of thumb is if they are refrigerated at the store, keep them cool. If not refrigerated then room temp is ok. Examples: onions at the grocery store are in a bin so don't put them in the fridge. Green beans usually are cooled so they should stay cool. The beans should be fine as long as they weren't contaminated by something else. How expensive can the green beans be? Even haricort verts are now that bad. If you bought the prewashed and cut ones, then the store had them too long.

Our rats somewhat appreciate vegetarian canines biscuits-- those we purchase are peanut butter flavored & scent somewhat sturdy. *do no longer* try undeniable peanut butter even with the undeniable fact that, or your rats might desire to choke on it. Our men additionally love bits of banana, bell pepper, melon, parsley & string bean. In warm climate, frozen peas or corn make a sturdy manage. enable your rat have a nut in its shell often times. it is a toy! it is a manage! it is a enamel conditioner! rather, an occasional tiny little bit of chocolate is effective for rats in spite of the actuality that it is poisonous to many different animals.

The cooking probably killed it. High heat kills mold.
