why do most hot dogs not fit the size of the bun?

why dont they either make the hot dog buns shorter or the hot dogs longer??

BarS makes bun sized hot dogs, too. They come 8 in a package and weigh 1 lb. per package. Naturally, they cost more than the smaller ones, but you aren't left with empty bites of buns.

Because you're buying the cheapest buns and the cheapest hot dogs. If you buy a better quailty hot dog, it actually fits perfectly.
