I HAD TO DO A REPORT FOR BASIC NUTRITION ON IT AND IN MY CONCLUSION I SAID IT DOES. WILL SOME ONE PLEASE CLARIFY THIS FOR ME? THE LECTURER SAID I'M WRONG BUT I REALLY NEED THE CREDITS AS I FAILED HER CLASS AND IF I PROVE HER WRONG THEN I CAN GET MY CREDITS AND MOVE ON.

Also, in the USA, milk is fortified with Vitamin D so if the cheese is made with fortified milk it would have vitamin D. If the milk is made from milk straight from a cow, then most likely there is little to no vitamin D in the cheese.

Ordinarily, unless the cheese is fortified it doesn't really contain much (if any) Vitamin D. Since sunshine helps in production of Vitamin D, unless you live in a place that doesn't get a lot of sunshine, it's usually not a problem. However, when you do see dairy and cheese fortified with Calcium they are usually fortified with Vitamin D as well because Vitamin D helps in calcium absorption.

I don't know. I am researching this like crazy and for the life of me cannot find an answer. Every keeps saying "some cheeses are fortified" but no one can actually tell me WHICH cheeses are fortified and how to know if they are. UGH!
