Is anyone else addicted to Alton Brown and Good Eats?

I just started watching food network sometime back in '08 because of my dad and his coworker who got him watching it and then he got me watching it. We stumbled across Good Eats and ever since then I've been hooked. Alton Brown is a genius. The only word that comes close enough to describing him other than "genius" is "awesome". Seriously, now I'm watching it like every day and I would do anything to meet him. I can't believe that Good Eats has been going on since the late '90's and that I've missed it all these years!

I'm sure there are a number of dedicated fans to the show and to Mr. Brown but is anyone else addicted to it? Alton Brown is now my hero. I don't even really care about the food, he just makes it so entertaining and interesting that I want to watch it and I want to learn. I know I must not be the only person who thinks this because I've seen facebook groups dedicated to him and stuff proving my point. And someone else out there must agree that there is something about his geeky appearance, clever humor, and charming wit that makes him oddly attractive. Right?

I do like Alton Brown, his Good Eats show at Foodnetwork is very educational as he injects a lot of scientific explanations as to how/why/what/where food came to be. And he makes it so funny and easy to understand that kids can learn from him too. I just wished a lot of people who ask questions here would watch his show!

He really is oddly attractive with his wit and charm and geeky appearance, someone who I would want to talk to and learn from all day everyday. I would not date him though!

I know this will not get me best answer but oh well, this is just my opinion.

I hate that show. I cannot stand Alton Brown. He gets on my nerves. I watch Food Network because I want so watch the people cook good food, I don't want to watch something that you would watch at school or something. And he is in no way attractive. Period.

I'm a Good Eats fan, I find the show fascinating. And yes, something about Alton is strangely attractive. I'd totally do him :)

I've watched that show a few times when there wasn't anything else on and I was bored out of my skull. I can't stand him, and I don't find him entertaining in the least. Food Network is supposed to be people showing how to cook, not whatever it is he (and others) does.

While I don't find him attractive (the whole "being a straight guy" thing), I do appreciate the show.

He does a similar take on the "Unwrapped" show, but focuses on one dish or product. I like the wackiness of it, as well as some of the ideas for recipes and the history behind some of the ingredients he covers.

I agree with Philbert cause I also am a straight male, but he is a blast to watch. Check him out on Iron Chef America. Its cool watching the chefs battle but he actually explains what everything is and what exactly they are doing (he also knows the history of everything!).
