Question:
Which is best quality: Waitrose or Sainsbury's?

Hello everyone,

I am moving to a new area where there will be a Sainsburys and a Waitrose quite close. I used to shop at Tesco but I don't like it at all, and M&S is not my favourite as I love to cook and they mostly offer ready meals.

So, I would like to know, in terms of Quality, which one would you recommend between Waitrose and Sainsbury's?

Price is not an important factor for me, I am looking more in terms of quality. Which one has the freshest food etc.

Any help would be more than welcome!

Thank you

Waitrose for quality every time,I don't find them expensive & for their Essentials ranges, hundreds of items, they match Tesco prices & have shelves labelled to show this.

Waitrose have the freshest food as well & don't stock things with sell by dates too far ahead, proof of freshness compared with most other supermarkets.

My local choices are Waitrose,Sainsbury's,Tesco & Morrisons so more than most towns

Hi, Deborah,

Between the two I think both stores offer Good Quality products. However not having a Waitrose, here in the Northern part of the United Kingdom, I will have to say Sainsbury's.

I agree with what you about M&S and to many ready meals, but M&S over Tesco and Asda and definitely Sainsbury's or Waitrose over every-other supermarket.

Hope this helps.

Personally, I prefer Waitrose. It is much nicer for the food, although it is very much more expensive, so prepare to fork out for the costs if you shop there.

I'm not keen on Sainsburys. Their food always tastes stale and the fruit often doesn't taste very nice.

So I believe Waitrose is better for food quality, even if the price is a little steep. (':

Congratulations on your new place! (: I hope you settle in well! :D

l had to start shopping in Sainsbury's when we moved to a new area because the nearest Tesco was a 10 mile round trip.

l would never shop at Tesco again and l certainly can't afford to shop at Waitrose.

I save in the two ASDA or Sainsbury's by using fact those are our locals. I used to pass in Lidl, yet I gave up by using fact i could finally end up having to pass to ASDA after besides. We used to save at Tesco's earlier we moved by using fact it replaced into closer. i'm no longer possibly bothered wherein food market I save at. ASDA is the main inexpensive. i in my view continually look heavily on the charges in Aldi and Lidl by using fact frequently they do no longer look to be continually the main inexpensive. I never pass in Morrison's, they only never have the failings i want. My well-known is Waitrose yet i'm getting specific issues there and that i never problem with M&S, that is too lots problem.

Waitrose is much better quality and has a far better choice of ingredients for the cook.

Well thier both good and bad in a way:

When I went sainsburys insaw 3 rotten oranges they were actually green

When i went wait rose I bought a cheese dip and when I opened it it was all green!

So i go tescos or Asda

But I prefer wait rose
