I have got some Gammon steaks in the fridge at home...?

i was going to have them for dinner tonight! But i have just noticed the "best before 2nd June" sticker. Although 1 day out of date, will they still be ok to eat tonight?

Yes. A few hours isn't going to make much difference unless you've had them in the airing cabinet ! ! !

Gammon and cranberry roulade Serves 1 Preparation time less than 30 mins Cooking time 10 to 30 mins Ingredients 1 gammon steak 55g/2oz cranberries 1 tbsp oil 110g/4oz sheet of puff pastry 1 egg, beaten For the parsnip and broccoli 1-2 tbsp olive oil 1 parsnip, peeled and cut into wedges ½ broccoli head, cut into florets 85ml double cream 1 tbsp fresh herbs, chopped Method 1. Preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. 2. Bring a pan of water to the boil. 3. For the parsnips, heat the oil in a griddle pan until hot and roast the parsnips for a few minutes, to colour. 4. Transfer the pan to the oven and roast for 10-15 minutes. 5. For the gammon, lay the gammon steak on a clean flat surface and sprinkle with cranberries. 6. Roll up and secure with a cocktail stick. 7. Heat the oil in a pan and sear the gammon for one minute on each side. Remove from the pan. 8. Roll up the gammon in the pastry and brush the edge with egg wash to seal. 9. Place on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden. 10. Cook the broccoli in the water for 4-5 minutes, or until tender and drain. 11. Heat the cream in a pan with the herbs and reduce over a gentle heat for a few minutes. 12. To serve, transfer the gammon roll onto a plate and serve the broccoli and roast parsnips alongside. 13. Drizzle the cream glaze over to serve.

As long as they are still sealed in their packaging and the packaging was well done, you shouldn't have any issue with them.
The best way to know is let your eyes and nose tell you if you think you should eat them. If they don't have a good smell or are in a pasty/creamy looking liquid then they may not be good.
Unless it is fish, I usually count an extra day into the use-by date if necessary and let my other senses determine if I should use the product or not.

I'm sure they will be absolutely fine. A best "before date" is not the same as a "sell by" or "eat before" date. Best before means exactly what it says - it's at its freshes before this date. Especially if they are in a sealed pack it should be ok for a few days. Mmmmm- making my mouth water. Enjoy!

The best way to tell if meat is off is to smell it - if it smells sour, it's off.
One day past the best before should be fine. These dates are only to protect food companies. I eat stuff past BB dates all the time.

Eating gammon steaks that are 1 day out of date is tantamount to signing your own death sentence. under no cicumstances should you eat pork of this antiquity. You have been warned. Don't blame me when you die a long lingering painful death.

yes as long as they don't smell like they are off, they don't just over night turn bad. No matter what the super markets will tell you.
don't forget the egg and chips
