Do you think pistachio ice cream tastes like cherries?

i tried some pistachio almond ice cream and it tastes like cherries....

It's probably the almond. I find stuff made out of almonds.. eg. marzipan tastes like cherry to me.

As pistachios have a lighter bland flavour, they use almond extract in the ice cream along with the pistachio pieces to give it a flavour, next time you have a pistachio, look and see if you find a distinct flavour, as a chef we bought a paste, much like peanut butter made from them added, it to the ice cream base with almond flavouring and the nuts to boost the flavour.

how could it be.eh,I think they are different.that's just my personal idea.hope you don't mind.maybe i eat different pistachio ice cream.whatever i like both pistachio ice cream and cherries ice cream.ha ha.hope you don't mind my answer.
