Hi, lately I've been drinking lots of orange juice and I've noticed my stomach feeling mildy upset. No, I didn't drink it on an empty stomach, I had a sandwich right before. This never used to happen before, and I guess only now my stomach is reacting to the acidity. I'll opt for low-acid orange juice next time. It's not so bad, but is there anything that would make your stomach feel better after drinking something as acidic as orange juice? I also have a craving for ice cream but I'm not sure how my stomach will react.

Ice cream won't have a chemical reaction with orange juice or anything, but if you're already feeling kinda yukky, you might want to go with something simpler to digest, until your stomach settles down a bit. Dry crackers or plain toast is the most stomach-calming of all.

You are likely right about the acidity, but there are lots of reasons for an upset stomach. If switching to low-acidity orange juice doesn't do the trick, it could be that you're slouching in a way that puts pressure on your stomach, or are just stressed out, etc. It'll feel better soon though. :)

The acid in the orange juice is "curdling" the ice cream thus giving you a 'sour stomach'.

If you must do this 'ritual'...keep an antacid near.

if you're not sure how your stomach will react then don't eat the ice cream...... Ice cream can cause your stomach to fell bad sometimes but it all depends what you ate before that !!
