There is controversy regarding whether or not pressure cooking is bad for your health. While the high heat does destroy some nutrients, you are cooking for far less time which actually preserves nutrients. Fast, hot cooking is best for nutrient preservation. You can cook broccoli in just a minute and soaked beans, such as pinto, black, or kidney, in just 6 minutes. I think that the results are amazing and I have been teaching people how to do it for 15 years.
I am far less sold on the microwave as you really can't use it for cooking. Pressure cooked food tastes great. It's especially good for soups, stews, chili and braises.
If you plan to pressure cook, get yourself a modern pressure cooker made of stainless steel.

Microwave heats things using "waves" < obviously what does this radio wave do is excite water and fat molecules ending up heating your food evenly, but this process takes a lot less amount of time than heating it in the oven..and using this "Microwave" too much could have bad effects.
The reason: the process of heating your food by exciting the water molecules ends up changing the chemical structure of your food which could cause problems to the body, also: (you wont be getting the actual vitamins and minerals the food is supposed to serve)
"You are what you eat" <-- try eating healthy; seriously using the oven is much better it just might take a bit longer. Be sure it's worth the wait.

Remember when they used to say microwaves were dangerous and bad for you? If you have a half a brain than the pressure cooker is an ideal appliance to use, and a healthy one at that.
