How to keep 100% Tart Cherry Juice from going bad?

Hello everyone,

I just bought an expensive bottle of organic Tart Cherry juice to hopefully help regulate my sleep and help me sleep better (it has melatonin in it). Anyway, how long will it last after opened if kept in the fridge? Can I put it in the freezer and just take it out at morning and night when I go to drink it since I've heard cherry juice doesn't freeze solid? Is that true? How long will it last in the freezer after opening?

It typically says on the label somewhere, check small print, on how quickly to consume after opening. There is an expiration date on there as well. The best way to prolong the life is just to put it in the coldest part of your refrigerator, typically way in the back. Make sure not to store it in the front of the shelf or the door as these two spots are subjected to warm air the most when you open the door.

If you are drinking it to regulate your sleep, the recommended serving size is 8 oz each evening around 5 or 6 PM, depending on how late you go to bed. So a 16 oz bottle is only two servings and you don't have to worry about spoilage.

I'm thinking it should last at least two weeks.

I'm unsure about the freezing and unfreezing, just doesn't sound right.

What about freezing in smaller containers so you don't defrost all at the same time.

didnt say how big the bottle was, but try pouring a glass full in ziplocks, freeze them, tkae out what you need each day. it will last for long time if frozen.. it will freeze solid if your freezer is colf enough
