My dad grilled some burgers tonight and half way through eating it I looked at it and it was pink I told my dad and he said it was fine so I squeezed the burger and the juices were clear and it seemed hot enough so I finished it now I'm a little worried is it ok?

Burgers can be under cooked, it's chicken that can not be. A little pink is fine as long as like David said there is no blood dripping off. Also, make sure that when you are b.b.qing you wash your hands with soap after touching the raw meat and before going on to touching the next food! That is waaayyyy more dangerous that medium-rare burgers.

Actually it is recommended that ground beef not be pink, but it is because of so much handling of the meat, and the fact that it can be from several animals, and there is a greater risk of bacteria such as e coli. However, anytime there is an e coli outbreak from hamburger it is usually from restaurants, not from home cooked ground beef, so you should be fine, especially if the juices were clear. There have been a lot of recalls of ground beef from stores over the years because of possible contamination, so I would not eat a pink burger again.

Of course. Many people like their burgers pink in the middle.

That's how I like my steak and burgers, medium rare ( pink in a midle) but it's a personal choice my hubby doesn't like them punk neither do the kids

You 'll be fine I promise :)

Your dad wouldn't want to do you any harm

Your dad cooked the burger perfectly. Nice, flavorful and juicy. Take some tips from him. Nothing like a hard overcooked hockey puck. UGH.

Yeah ..that means it was medium rare. When you go to fancy restaurants they ask you "how would you like your steak? Fully cooked or medium rare?"so yeah Its not bad unless you see blood squirting out lol.

Yes, it's probably fine, it was cooked medium rare.

If you're concerned, see a doctor.
