I want to improve my diet - it's not awful, but I want to replace my chocolate snacks with fruit. Which fruits do not oxidise (go brown) so I can cut them in the morning, eat them at 11.30 breaktime at school, and them be the same as before?? Thanks.

Cola

Citrus fruits don't get brown.

Stone fruit (peaches, plums, etc.) also don't get brown much.

Melons don't go brown much either.

Berries and grapes don't need to be cut.

Mango and pineapple don't go brown.

Apple, banana, and pear do but if you store them with citrus or with a little lemon juice it'll minimize it. And while the color may be unattractive it's perfectly safe to eat and tastes fine.

all fruits except citrus will oxidize.

however, if you want apples and pears and stuff like that, cut them and soak them in some orange juice for a few seconds. OR take the cheaters way out, and get some from walmart already pre packaged for snack foods. they have apple/grape and apples.

Take fresh bananas, or peaches no need to pre cut them. Take already canned fruits (the little snack cups)

If you want to take apples then you can cut them in half and use cling wrap to cover the flesh side tightly to prevent oxygen from effecting the colour. If you want you want to use this method, make sure that the cling wrap is completely smooth on the apple, meaning no wrinkles. This method is not the most effective method but it does prevent the fruit going brown to some degree. Hope this helped :)

I know that apples do turn brown but if your squeeze some lemon juice on the apple it won't turn brown because of the acid. Same with any fruit, just put some lemon juice on it!

Hope I Helpedd.:]

you can cut any fruit just over night put it in water it keeps the oxygen in place and you wont loose and electrons.

the loss of an electron begins the process od oxidiseation.
