Eating meat suddenly grosses me out?

Starting about four months ago I gradually started getting very grossed out when I ate meat. Its been getting worse as time goes on, its gotten to the point that I have to pull the meat off my burgers. I can't eat spaghetti with meat in it, or anything with ground beef, chicken, turkey, ham, pepperoni, sausage, or most meats on it or in it. I am perfectly fine with eating steak and bacon. Those are the only meats that I can think of that don't gross me out when I eat them. There's nothing wrong with the taste or anything it just grosses me out and makes me feel as if I'm going to puke if I continue eating it. I'm not a vegetarian but I've never been a huge meat eater either. What would cause this ? Is it just my taste buds changing ?

Your tastes are just changing. I have never been much of a meat eater either. I'm not a vegetarian but only eat meat once a week or so. I DO eat sea food. For some reason that doesn't gross me out. But beef, chicken, pork really gross me out too.

I've been eating like this for decades and I'm the healthiest person I know!

I know this was asked 4 years ago.. this is exactly how i feel i am not a vegetarian all of a sudden meat makes me sick it use to be just meat on the bone i would become so sick. Now it is meat in general but bacon onlynif it is crisp. And with chicken it has to be verrrry thin and almost burnt to eat. Kind of a concern

It's not surprising considering the amount of chemicals, hormones and hell knows what else they pump/feed to animals now. I have gone off of a lot of meats now too, my body just tells me 'no', and that's instinct telling you so. It isnt natural to eat something that pretty much came out of a science lab. Same reason i don't eat many types of fish now, they are so overfarmed that the oceans are almost on the brink of death.

I still eat some fish and meat *mostly turkey/chicken/mackerel/tuna ect* as those protein & fat sources are cannot be matched anywhere, but i eat less and less often now =)

I decreased my carbs and sugar intake because I bloat really easily and came to the conclusion I m carb sensitive. I only drink water, no refined sugar, pasta, bread, stuff like that and after a week of doing that I started to naturally cut my meat portions because I wasn t craving it. Now, I m completely grossed out by it. I can t put a hamburger patty in my mouth, no chicken, definitely no pork... I m confused as to why all of a sudden and I didn t even intend for it. You re not alone.

This is a good thing! Eliminating meat from your diet is a great thing to do for your overall health - did you know that meat can stay for a few weeks in your digestive tract? This is because your body finds meat a difficult substance to digest and eliminate. Often people will suddenly find they just don't like meat anymore; the thought of consuming a dead carcass may hit home and people will choose not to eat it anymore. Good for you! :)

Your tastes changed. Check out some vegetarian websites for ideas on what foods you can add to your diet so you're not eating steak and bacon every day, that's not healthy. Beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, dairy eggs and whole grains are sources of protein.

It is more likely to be a mind thing rather than your taste buds.
