haha, my mom just cracked an eeg to make an egg sandwhich, and when it cmae out onto the pan, there was red stuff in it? what is it? and what does it mean? is it blood fomr the chicken? lol

no... it means that it's been fertilized already. there's nothing wrong with it.. it's perfectly edible.
it's only old if it stinks and is kinda green... then it's spoiled, but with some red in it just means that it was fertilized.

Eggs with a visible blood spot on the yolk are safe for consumption. The spot can be removed with the tip of a knife. Blood or "meat" spots are occasionally found on an egg yolk. These tiny spots are not harmful and are caused by the rupture of a blood vessel during formation of the egg. Blood spots do not indicate a fertilized egg. Mass candling methods reveal most blood spots and those eggs are removed, but even with electronic spotters, it is impossible to catch all of them. If desired, the spot can be removed with the tip of a clean knife prior to cooking. These eggs are safe to eat.

It means that the egg was fertilized, and a chicken embryo had started to form inside.
Most eggs that you buy at the store are supposed to be unfertilized. Apparently there was some unauthorized chicken hanky-panky going on.
